From Locksmith to Key Expert – A Family Story

Hi, I’m Terry Bouch, the founder of KEYSALACARTE and a locksmith with over three decades of experience. My journey into locksmithing started in 1989 as a young apprentice. Back then, I developed a passion for helping people regain access to what matters most and ensuring their security.

 

In 2001, I launched my own company, The Lock Doctor LLC, in Charlottesville, VA. This was a turning point for my family, as my first son, Kyle, was born the same year. I spent years serving homes and businesses in my community, solving security challenges with dedication and care.

 

By 2021, I shifted to selling replacement keys online. This change allowed me to focus more on family – being there for my foster children and building a business that my own kids could grow alongside me. Today, KEYSALACARTE is a true family business.

• Kyle now handles local service calls, continuing the legacy of exceptional locksmith work.

• My other kids, Hannah, John, and Michael, are instrumental in our day-to-day operations, from cutting keys to shipping orders with precision and care.

 

Together, we work hard to ensure every key meets our high standards and delivers the reliability you need.
